We host the Orion Server in our datacenter to offer Internet-based automated activation and node-locking on both connected and disconnected systems (via Orion's 'sneakernet' capability).   "For MAXaccess and Nexus Suite we offer site-based licenses, using EasyLicenser to configure the number of active channels and users enabled per site, and to lock each installation using Agilis's Fuzzy Fingerprinting technology. We also take advantage of EasyLicenser's nested-licensing capability to provide 'emergency keys' to our installation and support personnel. Our technicians are able to use assigned  emergency keys at any time, up to five times on any one system, to turn on a 3-day license with all capabilities enabled.  By doing this, they have the capability to immediately enable a temporary backup system while they resolve a primary system problem, or turn on a system for a new customer even before the production license key arrives. Our customers rely on IPC's communication systems for their financial trading businesses, so we have to deliver very high availability.
